Our story
In the early 1990s, two dentist brothers—Drs. David and James Stoddard—recognized a growing problem in steam infection control: the overwhelming reliance on disposable sterilization packaging. Fueled by their shared commitment to clinical excellence and environmental responsibility, they created what had never existed before: the first and only FDA-registered reusable steam sterilization pouch.
From their dental practice basement, they navigated product development, clinical trials, FDA 510(k) submission, and patent approvals—driven by a vision to protect patients, professionals and the planet. Their pioneering work birthed Enviropouch®, a solution tested in the field, trusted in practice, and now used around the world.
Today, Enviropouch® stands as an American-made, US FDA-registered Class II medical device used in all steam infection control applications, healthcare, labs, dental hygiene colleges, and mission work across the globe.
